The Jack Backpackers in Cairns was a great place to stay. the room was clean and simple, with helpful amenities like a power bar and mini fridge. I particularly enjoyed the dinner, although the portion size was a bit small for my liking. the location was fantastic, being close to everything, and the atmosphere was welcoming. it was a great experience. Cons: No 👍.

Close to town, comfortable bed, good air conditioning. Reception staff provided helpful advice on diving and campervan rental. Private room was clean and included coffee, tea, and cutlery. Enjoyed the kitchen facilities.

loved my stay at this hostel in cairns! such a great price and the rooms were spacious with a handy fridge. the kitchen had an air-fryer and everything was cleaned daily. perfect location in the city center and the staff, especially harriet, were friendly and helpful. will definitely be back!

I got amazing value for my money at Jack Backpackers, with a comfy bed and a clean, spacious room. The location was perfect, within walking distance to all the main attractions, and they even offered free wifi and sunscreen.

The breakfast experience could use some improvement, as the portion sizes were small and the quality didn't match the advertised menu. It would have been more convenient if the office reception opened earlier in the morning, and I also didn't receive my card deposit back.

Convenient location - 5 min walk to shopping, 10 min to Greyhound bus stop. Included dinner with limited veggie options. Weekdays had minimal noise from bar. Friendly staff, powerpoints by bed, good room AC, and atmosphere in beer garden. Comfy, clean room with mini fridge. Common area with TV, books, and shared balcony. Good water pressure in showers.

The location of this hostel is great, with easy access to Cairns Central and public transportation. the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the blonde-haired girl. the wifi was reliable with no issues, and the kitchen had good facilities, although there was a deposit required for plates and cutlery.

The bathrooms could have been cleaner, and the common areas were hot and uncomfortable due to the metal ceiling.

I had a great time staying at the Jack. the staff at the counter were friendly and helpful, making the check, in process easy and stress, free. the room was clean and comfortable, with its own shower and toilet. the location was perfect, just a short walk away from the marketplace and the esplanade, making it convenient to explore the city and catch boat tours at the marina. the dinner provided at the pub next door was delicious, and the lively atmosphere with good music added to the enjoyment of my stay. it was a no, fuss, no, stress experience that made my holiday in Cairns memorable.
